MIDBEST Album Release
I can't believe my second album is almost finished, but it's true. MIDBEST will be officially released on 4.5.2025. if you've signed up for my email list, you've already heard most of the songs on the album. if you haven't, I'm excited for you to hear them. I challenged and pushed myself a lot on this album. there are a lot of new sounds and genres that I wanted to explore for this project. you'll hear everything from rap to folk and Americana. the best part is, I'll be holding an album release show on April 5th at Ruthie's Off C-Street (formerly Ruthie's On C-Street), with local rapper Trak Masta Tom opening as my special guest. I want this shindig to be as accessible to the community as possible, so it will be completely free. no tickets, no cover charge. use your money instead to support Ruthie's; get yourself a refreshing beverage or an app! there's a bonus, too... you can stay AFTER the album release is over for Ruthie's karaoke night. we're going to keep the party rolling all night. this is going to be my last show for a long time, as I'm preparing to welcome my daughter, C.C., into the world this summer. so make sure you come down to hear old songs, new songs, and grab a copy of MIDBEST for your CD collection! book release: lines.
I'm super stoked and very excited to announce that my first book of poetry is officially here. "lines" is a book of 15 original poems, including 9 of my favorite suggestion poems(poems I write using random words provided by fans and followers via social media) from the past 2 years. "lines" also features original illustrations by the very talented Lacey McKeever. You can check out more about her on her website or Instagram. this is a project that's been on my heart and mind for years, and I'm so glad that I can finally share it with you.

Sad Kid Summer: the final show
that's it. Sad Kid Summer 2023 is over. I have a mix of emotions. as an
independent artist, it took a lot of time, work, and energy to make these shows happen, and part of me is relieved and ready to finally relax for a spell. but obviously it's a bittersweet kind of relief. I want to say a sincere thank you to everyone who came out to any of the shows this summer. I saw lots of new faces in the crowd, and some of you even came to multiple shows. I really can't fully express how much that means to me. thank you for allowing me to share my music, my poetry, my heart with you. all I hope is
that it's helped you feel less alone, if even for just a moment. spread these songs around to anyone who might need a moment like that, too. it was a blast spending the summer with you, Springfield. I look forward to focusing on my next project and some new music for you all. sad kids party the hardest.
